In the Gigaswitch Installation Guide ... on page 1-24 ... is the
following note:
For certain revisions of the crossbar (CBS) module, slot 10 acts as
a 2-port slot. If it is required to place a FGL-4 in slot 10, the
proper CBS card must be present.
Could someone tell what the proper revision of the CBS card is ...
My customer wants to put FGL-4's in slot 10 of 2 different Gigaswitches

...the -02 varient is the proper varient. We have only made -02
varients for a long time now, but very old installations may have the
original CBS, and it's conceiveable that some stockrooms may have the
old CBS varients.

I checked the part number - the serial number sticker will have
54-22116-01 for the old CBS varient without the fix and it will have
54-22116-02 for the new CBS varient with the fix.
The wire adds for the fix are pretty obvious too...
