My customer wants to hook up his Alpha server 2100 with a DEFPA to a ring with a IBM AIX system. The protocol the IBM is using is LAP (Link Access Protocol) so he told me(?). Can we have this protocol on our DEFPA? Under digital Unix 3.2x? Under Windows NT 3.51? Any other way to talk to the big blue over FDDI? Any info Most welcome... Vince, FAE, DEC Montreal.

>>Can we have this protocol on our DEFPA? >>Under digital Unix 3.2x? Don't know. >>Under Windows NT 3.51? If it works on NT, and it supports FDDI, it *should* run over DEFPA. Check with the customer on where they're picking up the LAP protocol. /l |
