Hi, this question was cross posted in conference Microvax (4256). A customer has an HS111 and wants to use it as a boot node for his VAXes (VAX4000-100 and VAX4000-106). These are only connected to FDDI (no ethernet connection). Will it work ? What would be the minimum OpenVMS or firmware version ? I read topic 1205 : > > I know of no plans for the system groups to write a boot driver for > the DEFQA - even for the new Q-bus systems that just came out. But it was 2 years ago. Has it changed ? There is no VAX FDDI boot support for any FDDI adapter. And the probability of boot support ever is about 0%. - Dick | |||||
