Where can I get precise data on the FDDI leds (and receiver)
for the DEFPA-DA? ie: power emited, amount of light to receive
etc...
I know it uses "SC" type connectors and it uses multi-mode
fiber, but I need more than that.
This is for a military installation and they will use
"their" fiber to make up the connections.
I assume there must be some standard these NICs adhere to, but
can someone give me a pointer?
Thanks,
Vince.

Subject: Optical Power Detail Budgets for FDDI products
Our DEFPA optical tranceivers meet the ANSI PMD requirements.
The optical power budgets for FDDI Products are as follows:
Multimode:
Transmitter Minimum Optical Power: -20 dBm
Transmitter Maximum Optical Power: -14 dBm
Receiver Minimum Sensitivity: -31 dBm
Receiver Maximum Optical Input Power: -14 dBm
Resultant Optical Power Budget = 0 to 11 dB.
