1956.0. "Is there any planned FDDI support at more than 100Mbps?" by COWBOY::MIRGHANE () Tue Feb 13 1996 07:43

        Is there any planned FDDI support at more than 100Mbps?.
        I have a customer pretending that he saw a document from US stating
        the upcoming of a 150 Mbps FDDI adapters?

        Thanks for help.
        Soumetty.

    I'd *love* to see that document.

    Perhaps the customer is referring to our FDDI full duplex technology
    that lets you achieve a theoretical maximum throughput of about 160Mbps
    in point-to-point configurations between two FDDI FDX nodes, or when
    connected to a Digital GIGAswitch/FDDI.

1956.2Thank you very much for this clarification Larry.COWBOY::MIRGHANEWed Feb 14 1996 05:075
    Although the paper does not mention full duplex anywhere, I understand
    this is what is meant by it.
    Thank you very much for this clarification Larry.

00-00-0c is CISCO so the CISCO is emitting bogons. Complain to them.
