Hello, I am looking for FDDI seminar or training course in Q3/FY96. I want to study basic concept of FDDI technology in the area of PHY, MAC, LLC, and SMT. The charecteristic/feature/configuration of Digital FDDI products, monitroing the FDDI Ring utilization and analyzing the specific FDDI frame by using FDDI analyzer would be also much helpfull to me. SJ,
I used to teach a seminar on these exact topics, but it hasn't been
offered for many years now. You might start learning by getting a copy
of the book, FDDI: An Introduction. It is orderable via VTX. You should
also speak to Mr. Hyun-Cheol Kim, in Network Services in Seoul. He is
very knowledgable on FDDI and has implemented many FDDI networks in
Korea. I don't believe there are any FDDI technology courses scheduled
soon, but you should SET HOST to MILRAT and log in to COURSES passworld
TRAINING to see what might be offered in the US.
