I need confirmation or denial of the following to help resolve a customer concern/issue: Does the DEFTA-DA when installed in a DEC3000-400 (flamingo) "wrap-the-ring" when the system is halted?? Thanks, Dennis

Dennis If I was to taek an educated guess, I would say that it would not be the halted system that wraps the ring but instead, the systems on either side of it. Thus creating a broken ring, if you like. This would be more or less the same as if one of the machines crashed or was powered off. The systems on either side are supposed to wrap. This is one of the benifits of having a fibre ring. Steven Freke LAN Support Customer Support Centre Basinstoke, UK [Posted by WWW Notes gateway] |
