HELLO !

One of aur best customers here in Portugal has bought a add-on to their VAX7000
to implement FDDI connections. The Customer has a VAX 7610 and a VAX 7720.
The equipment selled by Digital was 2 E0-DEFAA-DA (FBUS+ to FDDI Adpts DAS, MMF)
and related material.
Now the equipment have arrived and my job is filtering the installation call 
before filed enginners going to customer site. 
I have read a lot af articles and all of them talked about DEC7000 and ALpha VMS.
Because of that I put this note to confirm or not (it'sbetter!!) 

if the DEFAA is supported on VAX7000 platform (alpha ready).

Please reply as soon as possible 

If it (DEFAA) is supported please tell me the most recent pre-requisites 
(Vms min version, HW, FWR etc...)

I will be very gratefull

    The DEFAA is supported on the VAX 7000 systems running OpenVMS 6.1
    and OpenVMS 6.2.  I've checked the 6.2 SPD and found the DEFAA
    listed. A coleage of mine checked with VMS engineering and they say
    it's supported using OpenVMS 6.1.

The DEFAA and FutureBus+ is Alpha only, with V6.1 and V6.2.
