Hello, I have some confusion on which FDDI controller is supported on the 4000 model 90. The customer is running OpenVMS V6.1. There was an addendum for the DEFTA-AA which said it was going to be supported for OpenVMS after VMS 6.2. Is this true? My question is for OpenVMS (any version), what FDDO controller is supported for the 4000 model 90. Thanks, -Jene Emrick Network Support

There are plans to provide a driver patch to support the DEFTA-AA and -UA, but since the driver patch is quite significant and since I don't have a 4000 with a TC module, the work hasn't been done. I'm going to implement it first for a DEFQA and hope to find some hardware to try it out on for the DEFTA (its the same driver source). This work has been committed to be done this calendar year. - Dick |
