A customer in Florence has a workstation Sun Sparc20/61 equipped with
a board Sunlink FDDI/S 3.0 DAS.
It is connected in a ring with two workstations Alpha and a bridge
Lanplex,that interconnects an ethernet network.
If the customer connects the port B of the SUN to the port A of the
bridge Lanplex,every thing works fine;
if the port B of the Sun is connected to the port A of one of
both the Alphas,the self test fails,and no traffic is allowed
on this path.
The customer has tried a point to point connection between Sun
and Alpha,but the problem persists.
SUN too has been involved ,but they have given no answer.
Can anyone give me any suggestion?
