Hope someone out there is still able to help with the following... I am trying to understand what the current firmware for a DEFZA-AA FDDIController 700 is. I am having a problem at a customer site whereby eight Vaxstation 4000-90's with DEFZA's do not run new version of Pathworks without crashing. One Vaxstation 4000-90 has a DEFTA-FA and it is working. Doing the >>> t/util tca and >> t tc0 cnfg yields a revision of T5.2P on the DEFZA's and V1.0B on the DEFTA. Is T5.2P a good rev? Is this newer or older than v1.3 which I have found reference to in this Notesfile? We are currently waiting for answers to these questions before escalating to VMS for possible FCdriver (common to DEFZA and DEFTA) issues. Thanks, Dale

I had the customer do sn sda> sho lan/dev=fca. The results are strange for the DEFZA vs. DEFTA. DEFTA device revision field = 20312e30 which is ascii for 1.0 which is the same as the that reported by T TC0 CNFG (1.1B). DEFZA device revision field = 01050014 which somehow equals T5.2P!!! Dale |
