Hi all, we have DECswitch 900 EF which is crashing intermittantly, about twice a day. We have just dumped the errorlog in the DECswitch and we get the following information FRU mask 0 TEST ID= DEAD error data: sr=2100 pc=30361c2 error code=13b The module saves three more copies of this information and they are all the same. The module is running version 1.2 code. We have replaced this with one from logistics and the new one was supplied as a DECbridge 900 MX running the same version. Questions: 1) What does this error indicate? 2) Is it likely to be resolved in the next version of the code (vers 1.5)? thanks in advance Chris Poppins SPT CSC- System Support

1780.1 | Error 13B is fixed in new rev firmware for DECswitch (DECbridge) | NETCAD::BATTERSBY | Thu Aug 17 1995 11:23 | 23 | |
> same. The module is running version 1.2 code. Wow, this is *old* rev image! >Questions: >1) What does this error indicate? 13B is triggered by large packets (>1500 bytes) received over the FDDI and destined to the bridge. 2) Is it likely to be resolved in the next version of the code (vers 1.5)? This is fixed in the wave 3 code version 1.5. Please update your customers unit! In hand with updating the DECswitch 900EF image, please be sure to upgrade the HUB firmware, *and* upgrade to the latest version of HUBwatch. This is all in the interest of being able to not only take advantage of all the new features, but of course to guarantee that your customer will not see any wierdness when using old rev HUB (MAM) code while using new rev HUBwatch (or visa-versa), along with the upgraded switch.
