Hi, Is it possible to run two FDDI adapters on the same AXP host (let's say an PCI Alphaserver 1000 or 2000), each one connected to two separate Gigaswitch ports. The purpose is to distribute/share server to network throughput, assuming the application can deal with that, and that we use two distinct TCP/IP addresses. Moreover, it would protect against one adapter failure. Regards Laurent

Assuming your application can make use of two interfaces, your device driver supports multiple NICs, and your OS not only supports two interfaces but can assign them unique addresses, you can run two or more FDDI adapters in the same host. /l | |||||
