    My customer has a high performance and high security environment which
    requires him to use Type 9 STP cable (not Cat. 5 UTP). I see places in
    this and other Notes conferences where it appears that this is
    supported, but I have a $850K sale that I can't make assumptions with.

    Can someone tell me if the following NPG product supports the use of
    Type 9 STP cable:

          - FDDIcontroller/PCI

    Thanks,

| 1714.1 | Any flavor will do | DPDMAI::DAVIES | Mark, SCA Area Network Consultant | Mon Jun 12 1995 10:43 | 12 |
| Let me update this note. My customer says that any STP cable will do,
    not just type 9. If we support a different variant of STP, they will
    buy it from us.

    Now the question is, will the PCI FDDI adapters support any flavor of
    STP?

    Thanks,
