1711.0. "DEFPA on Prioris HX using Netware SFT" by SNOC02::CALEYJASON (Flat out, like a lizard drinking) Thu Jun 08 1995 03:52
Hi,
Could anyone out there please confirm if they know of a Prioris HX
configuration running DEFPA-AA (PCI/FDDIcontroller) and using Netware
4.10 with SFT III (MSL)?
The Children's Hospital in Sydney, Australia are trying to implement
this but the Fileserver keeps abending.
We are trying to determine if the problem is related to the hardware
being used or a driver bug. I dont have much more info to go on
although I've requested it three times. I'll post some more problem
descriptions here when I get them from the field.
In the meantime, has anybody got Netware 4.10 on a Prioris HX working
for Mirrored Server links using the PCI/FDDI controller.
Thanks and regards,
Jason Caley,

| The DECpc Prioris HX likes to assign all of the PCI adapters to the
same IRQ, by default. This could be the problem if the DEFPA is not
the sole PCI adapter in the system. The IRQ for DEFPA can be changed
by running the EISA Configuration Utility (ECU) diskette that came with
the system.
Can you post the customer's IOSTART.NCF and IOAUTO.NCF files and the
system configuration?
