Hi, Have a question about booting through a DEFAA interface. I've got 2 4000-700, and they are running with one boot node and on satellite. When i try booting the satellite through the futurebus i get error message: invalid device / invalid adapter (Do not have exact message). We are running AXP vms 6.1-1h2 Firmw 3.1 (latest on CD) Sorry about the lack of info, hope it's enough. Arne MCS - Norway

DEFAA booting is not supported. There is no console support for MOP booting over the DEFAA and therefore no VMS bootdriver support. - Dick | |||||

1699.3 | Refer to the OpenVMS SPD | ADOV01::MANUEL | Over the Horizon.... | Wed Jun 14 1995 09:56 | 15 |
Arne, There is a table of supported lan options for operation and boot support in the OpenVMS SPD, you can get it from VTX IR or off the CD in the documentation directory. This may help next time around. I have a similar issue trying to get 4 DEC4000/620's to boot from an HS1xx FDDI storage array, I am proposing booting via an ethernet-FDDI bridge and I have asked the question in the HS1xx-product notes conference. You may be interested in following that stream. Regards, Steve. |
