Has anyone installed our EISA FDDI Controller (DEFEA) in a Compaq Proliant 2000 Pentium server ? Compaq says they have experienced problems with FDDI controllers from different vendors in this server. They have to decrease clock-speed on their processor to make the FDDI controllers work. Compaq has no experience with the DEFEA though.

In fact, COMPAQ has been actively evaluating the DEFEA for quite some time now. We also have numerous customer installations that use COMPAQ systems and Digital FDDI EISA adapters. Novell and Microsoft to name two. As far as I know, no decreasing of clock-speed has been necessary. - Larry |
