Can a DECswitch 900EF in one DH900 be dual homed to two M ports of a DC900MX in another remotely located hub, to survive FDDI cable failures. Or is the requirement that the dual homing must be done from the DECswitch 900EF to two different DC900MX in the remote DH900 ? Alphonse

Yes, you can dual-home to either two M ports of the *SAME* or two *DIFFERENT* concentrators. It's obviously more fault tolerant to dual-home to two different concentrators since you can suffer a concentrator failure and still remain on the network. Your configuration will work fine, however. /l |
