1667.0. "Dual Home to same concentrator - Is this allowed ?" by GIDDAY::STANISLAUS () Mon May 01 1995 23:21

	Can a DECswitch 900EF in one DH900 be dual homed to two M ports of
a DC900MX in another remotely located hub, to survive FDDI cable failures.
Or is the requirement that the dual homing must be done from the DECswitch 900EF
to two different DC900MX in the remote DH900 ?

    Yes, you can dual-home to either two M ports of the *SAME* or two
    *DIFFERENT* concentrators. It's obviously more fault tolerant to
    dual-home to two different concentrators since you can suffer a
    concentrator failure and still remain on the network. Your
    configuration will work fine, however.
