The catalog entry was a little premature. I do have a SCO UNIX driver
for DEFPA in development now and it's up and running, but I haven't
built a release kit for it yet. If you could send me (email) the
customer's name and contact information I'll make sure they receive the
driver when it becomes available.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
!!! ANNOUNCING NEW FDDI CONTROLLER SCO UNIX DRIVERS !!!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SCO UNIX LLI drivers are now available for both DEC FDDIcontroller/EISA
(DEFEA) and DEC FDDIcontroller/PCI (DEFPA) adapter families. The same
driver kit supports both adapters, but the kit has been included in
both DEFEA and DEFPA driver release areas. The driver kit will be
rolled into a full DEFEA or DEFPA driver kit, but for now, they can be
found on:
KALI::PCDRIVERS:[DEFEA.INTERIM]FESCOLLI.TAR
or KALI::PCDRIVERS:[DEFPA.INTERIM]FPSCOLLI.TAR
or ftp://ftp.digital.com/pub/DEC/adapters/fddi/defea/interim/fescolli.tar
or ftp://ftp.digital.com/pub/DEC/adapters/fddi/defpa/interim/fpscolli.tar
or the Network Product Business BBS at 508-486-5777.
Driver Version: v2.0.0a
OS Support:
SCO UNIX System V/386 Release 3.2v4.2
SCO Open Desktop Release 3.0
SCO Open Server ("Everest")
New Features:
1. Simplified installation. The driver does not require any adapter
resource entries (IRQ, port addresses, etc) of the user and
determines this information directly from the adapter.
2. Multiple board support. The driver supports up to eight (8)
FDDI controllers in any combination of PCI and EISA.
3. Shared interrupt support.
4. Local SNMP management utility included (declma).
Installation:
After copying over the TAR file, you must transfer the kit onto a
UNIX formatted 3 1/2" floppy as given in the following example:
dd if=fescolli.tar of=/dev/rfd0135ds18 bs=18k
Complete the installation by running the custom utility, then use
netconfig to bind protocols to the driver for each adapter.
Support:
Any driver or kit related questions or problems can be sent to me
directly at YESWAY::STEFANI, or posted in the SCO UNIX or FDDI
Notes conferences.
