Hello,
Thanks for the pointer to the SDA information, now that I have the
output that does not show FDX enabled, what can I check next?
It's a point-to-point SC-cabled connected DEFTA to a DEFPA, VMS V6.1.

1647.4 | SET DEVICE/FULL_DUPLEX in LANCP? | CSC32::J_SOBECKI | John Sobecki, DTN 592-4101, CXO3-2/D2 | Thu Apr 20 1995 17:52 | 29 |
| Hello,
I noticed in the latest LANCP.EXE OpenVMS T6.2 kit, there is a SET
DEVICE /FULL_DUPLEX command option, so I copied over the latest LANCP
image, and tried it:
LANCP> set device/full_duplex fwa0
%LANCP-W-FDXSUP, Full duplex not supported on this device, FWA0
LANCP> show device/revision
Device revision EWA0: Not available
Device revision FRA0: 322E3320
Device revision FWA0: 322E3436
Also failed on the DEFEA adapter:
LANCP> set device/full_duplex fra0
%LANCP-W-FDXSUP, Full duplex not supported on this device, FRA0
Any insite into this problem? Looks like the SYS$FWDRIVER is not quite
ready to implement this option, or maybe because I don;t have anything
on the other end that is FDX capable?
Thanks,
John Sobecki

| What version of VMS are you running? I don't think that full duplex
stuff in LANCP and the LAN drivers works until FT3 or later of V6.2.

1647.6 | works in V6.2-FT3 | CSC32::J_SOBECKI | John Sobecki, DTN 592-4101, CXO3-2/D2 | Mon May 08 1995 12:58 | 7 |
| Hello,
I re-tested with under V6.2-FT3 and the SET DEVICE/FULL_DUPLEX command
in LANCP worked!
Thanks,
John
