Hello All I'm sure this is covering old ground but I'm only passing on a grip from a customer. Since the retirement of DECmcc as our main Network Management Product is there any new utility or planned upgrade to DECelms to allow management of DECbridge 620's. Yours in anticipation Paul Kirk Dublin MCS

1499.1 | PDM has ELMS support in V2.0 | MOLAR::MOLAR::BRIENEN | Open Network Management Group | Tue Nov 15 1994 15:59 | 15 |
POLYCENTER DECnet Manager (PDM) V2.0 might meet some of your needs: - bridge mapping (ELMS and SNMP) - ELMS command line utility (bridges only) - bridge graphing (errors, utilization, etc) PDM layers on POLYCENTER Manager on Netview (PNV) and currently runs on DEC OSF/1. The PNV NT version, for Alpha and Intel, is "coming along nicely". PDM also supports DECnet IV, DECnet/OSI, and Term Server Management/Mapping (while PNV does all the SNMP and IP stuff). Check out the Netview Notes Conference for more information. Chris | |||||
1499.2 | He has IBM Netview | SIOG::PKIRK | I wonder if I'm on the right planet......? | Wed Nov 16 1994 05:41 | 17 |
Hello Chris Thanks for your reply. The customer in question has just installed a IBM Netview system but he tells me he still cannot manage his DEC FDDI rings with it. What would he need to do in order to get started on this? Thanks Paul Kirk Dublin MCS |
