1451.0. "Is Full-duplex supported on DEFTA-FA" by WBCVS1::GOODEN (Gene Gooden) Thu Sep 22 1994 13:53

1) Is Full-duplex supported under OpenVMS AXP for DEFTA-FA?
   (Note 1090 was never answered)

2) If so, how does one go about turning on Full-duplex on a DEFTA-FA?

   Our configuration is two DEC3000 Model 900's connected point-to-point,
   or the same two DEC3000 Model 900's connected through a GIGAswitch.

   We are running OpenVMS 6.1 with both DECnet/OSI and TCPware TCPIP.

   Thanks,
   gene

For devices which have fdx enabled by default, it is supported. The
DEFTA is one of these.

The ability to enable/disable this for FDDI adapters is in
a future version of OpenVMS AXP (V6.2). The utility is LANCP
('mc lancp' then 'help set device').
