    Hi all,
    
    Anybody heard of V3.5 for DEFCN500 ?
    
    If yes, where on the net can I find it.
    
    Customer heard a rumor of such version and asks.

    No, there's no official release of V3.5, we gave one version
    out for debug which will never be released. V3.4A is what's 
    out now.
    
    By the way...
    
    We have found a bug in the defcn code that you should be aware 
    of. If you set the IP address on the concentrator, ping it from
    an ultrix station then clear the concentrator's IP address, the
    concentrator will respond to another ping from that same station. 
    
    The station, will retain the association between the hardware/IP
    address and it uses the hardware address to send the frame, if the 
    IP address in the concentrator was 0, the concentrator would process 
    the frame believing it could be a bootp packet, not take the bootp 
    path and respond.
    
    A work around would be to be sure the IP address is set to something
    if you change it.
