1425.0. "DECbridge 6xx SNMP Octets count" by KERNEL::EVANSN () Wed Aug 17 1994 10:11
I'm sure that this question may have been asked before, but here goes.
If the ifInOctets or ifOutOctets in the mib-2 interfaces section are queried in
SNMP the value returned is always zero.
The values returned from a DECbridge 900MX are as expected.
If I query interface counters with the bridge access module on MCC it does give
me a byte count.
The DECbridge 620 firmware is V1.3G.
Presumably this is an issue with the SNMP agent software not getting the byte
count properly or not at all, will this counter be available to us in a future
release of the firmware ??

| Contact Ken Rauhala on NPSS::RAUHALA and pose the same question to him.
He may be working on a release and may be able to roll this in if
it is an easy thing.
