1397.0. "mfa0: state is 0 message" by COL01::LINNARTZ () Tue Jul 12 1994 16:05

    Hi,

    DEC7000 OSF T3.0-1 and (rarely on) V2.0
    DEMFA, Firmware Rev V2.0 HW Rev E

    we receive the message
    mfa0: Unsolicited Event: Ring Init Received (state is 2)

    ok, this is only once and should be ok, but sometimes it is
    followed by a
    mfa0: Unsolicited Event: Duplicate token Detected (state is 3)
    or by a
    mfa0: .... timed out (state is 0)

    sorry i've lost the last message, but the (state is 0) appears
    each second on the console. I couldn't determine the dependicies
    when it's happening, seems more like random after booting, but once the
    state 0 message appears, it remains until reboot.
    will try to get the complete message.

    customer asks me what to do to get rid of it?
    any hints?

    thanks in advance and rgds
     Pit
