1383.0. "Fiber power range low?" by SALUD::ORTIZ () Wed Jun 22 1994 14:09
I have a customer that is doing acceptability work on a DECconcentrator
500 SAS port. I am not real up on FDDI lingo, but this is the jest of
the problem. He is noticing a low power range of -8.1 DBM on a
1300 nanometer wavelength. Other ports has -2.0 DMB for an 820
nanometer wavelength. Should he replaced the SAS module that has the
-8.1 power? He believes that -8.0 would be acceptable, but he isn't
sure of this..
Any help would be appreciated...
