No. Currently, third-party NIC vendors have to bay BIG BUCKS to Banyan to have them write a server driver for their proprietary server architecture. They've gotten beaten up for this over the years, so now they're supposedly migrating towards one of the more "industry standard" architectures (ODI or NDIS 3.0). When that happens, we should be able to more easily port our drivers. However, there is currently little business case for the Banyan-specific server driver. I had heared that Banyan got snubbed by Novell and is going with NDIS 3.0 as their standard. This makes sense, since when I talked to them last, they wanted the NIC vendor to suppory an NDIS 3.0 driver. Hopefully Banyan will fix the "error in their ways" soon. doug |
