    Hi,
    
    	Ive been commissioned to present a training course for Birmingham
    Cables (a network provider) who have purchased several DECconcentrator
    500's to power a 40 mile fibre ring between two Rover car plants. They
    require basic fault finding training and recommended courses of action
    to be taken when 'unusual' events are observed from the Concentrators
    OBM port.
    
    I have gathered and read most of the customer documentation, and
    ploughed my way through this notes conference with out finding any real
    references to the meanings behind the OBM paramters. OK most of them
    can be guessed  from knowledge of the protocol engine, but is there a
    de-facto guide to their meaning apart from the 'micky mouse -"here is a
    picture of the OBM screen"' given in the DECconcentrator 500
    Installation guide (EK-DEFCN-IN-004).
    
    Finally from a 'performance' (or just making sure that the black box is
    still doing what it should do) point of view  can you point me towards
    any references that indicate what to look for OBM counterwise.
