1328.0. "DEFTA and VME cause timeout?" by RT93::LAROCCO () Mon May 02 1994 09:18
I have a DECstation 5900 with a VME adapter in turbo slot 0, and
DEFTA's in slots 1 and 2. The VME goes to a MASPAR (massively
parallel) computer.
When the external cable to the VME in NOT plugged in, both DEFTA's come
up ok. When the cable is plugged in, DEFTA #1 comes up ok, but DEFTA
#2 takes ~30 seconds to come up, and I get a self test failure and a
"Unable to initialize network adapter" message. Apparently the card is
still usable, because I get to the link available state and I am able
to tx and rx.
Any ideas?
Thanks, Andy
