Anybody know of any problems running NETBEUI over FDDI? This would be Ethernet->FDDI->Ethernet with NETBEUI. Seems like a natural to me, but I have never done it in practice and we are responding to an RFP. Thanks, Mark

We run NetBEUI just fine over our NDIS 2.01, NDIS 3.0, and SCO UNIX drivers for our FDDI EISA card. The only issue to worry about in the bridged environment is that the max frame size is kept under max Ethernet size packets, or they'll be dropped by the FDDI bridge. In your scenario, the two Ethernet nodes communicating across an FDDI ring wouldn't run into this problem since both nodes only know the max Ethernet MTU. - Larry | |||||
