| One of the jobs of a concentrator is to let you connect SAS nodes to the
FDDI. So the answer is YES.
More precisely:
1. a SAS can be connected to the M port of a concentrator.
2. a DAS can be connected
a. to the A and/or B port of a concentrator (always maintaining A-B
pairing, never A to A or B to B). This forms a "dual ring" or
"trunk ring". Normally you do this only to a few nodes, and only
with nodes that are expected to be up at all times.
b. to the M port of a concentrator. If you connect both A and B ports
to M ports, that's "dual homing"; the A-M connection is a backup.
Normally you would use two separate concentrators for this, because
otherwise you have redundant connections to a single point of
failure. But this is not required.
