A customer is looking for FDDI connectors. It is the connector that holds the 2 fiber connectors in parrallel and plugs into a DECconcentrator 500. The customer has plenty of fiber cable around. He would just like to get hold of the connectors to make his own cables. I guess he would also need instructions and a list of necessary equipment to make these connection. Any help out there? Rich

Lots of companies make these. AMP, Hirose, Methode, etc. Get in touch with them. Incidentally, unless the customer has experience with this sort of thing, or has to do a LOT of them (to justify the time and expense of becoming an expert) it may well be better to buy readymade cables or have the assembly done by a specialist contractor. It's not all that hard, but it does require some specialized skills and specific equipment. It's not quite as simple as, say, putting BNC connectors onto Thinwire cable... paul

Try AMP Corporation or Black Box Catalog.
