Guy:
Could you get the following information
for me please.
For the Single mode optics on DEC FDDI
equipment (Concentrator 500):
What is the transmit ouput power level?
What is the receiver sensitivity (min
power level to operate)?
What is the receiver overload (max power
level)?
Is the fiber that is on the card (receive
side, from the connector to the photodiode) single
or multi mode? Apparently, most of our single
mode transmission equipment uses multi mode on the
receive side of the card because of lower losses
in the interface to the photodiode. This allows
us to use a lower cost multimode attenuator.
Thanks.
