Just a small question ! Is it possible to switch off Spanning Tree Protocol on DECbridge 5xx or 6xx ( as we can do on Translan 3xx...) ??? Thank's in advance, Jean-Francois

For those of use whom know the implications, and have the need to create domains, becuase our management is putting us in the positions where we need to seriously think of vary large MAN's, I think it is a neccessary feature. I know that current DEC products currently do not allow this, but I am told by my field test sponsors of my GIGAswitch, that this feature will be implemented on their product. I just hope that the DEChub 900 develpoment team provides this feature. my 2 cents, Mike | |||||

I'm sorry, but I can't make heads or tails out of what you said. Could you try that again? I don't think it would be all that hard to implement this, but I'm not about to support doing so in the absence of a solid technical reason why it should be done. paul |
