| DECndu does not use DECnet is any form. Therefore it shouldn't matter.

1082.3 | Do Disable MOP. | TKTVFS::IDO | Naoki Ido, CSC/TOKYO, EWB, DTN 680-2456 | Thu Sep 09 1993 12:17 | 4 |
| You can use DECndu on VMS system even it has been configured as a
DECnet/OSI's ES, but you may be required to disable MOP when you use DECndu.

1082.4 | and the syntax.... | HOO78C::RIETKERK | Bart Rietkerk-Hoogeveen-Holland | Thu Sep 09 1993 16:32 | 19 |

Thanks, Naoki,
I found this out already. Now for the interested listeners:
SYNTAX (Don't quote me as I didn't have a chance to verify or test)
Old:
NCP> set circuit xxxx service disabled
should go under OSI now
NCL> disable MOP circuit xxxxx {func yyyyyy}
No more details available yet.
Thanks all for the reply's.

| The "yyy" (in { func yyy } ) is "load server".
Then again, there isn't any real reason to do this in DECnet/OSI, since the
MOP implementation there was done right and doesn't bring your system to its
knees the way the old one did at times.

Paul,
Thanks for the reply. The picture is clear for me now. Bottom line is
there shouldn't be any problems, not even in case of MOP download
requests, since the MOP inplementation on phase V is better than on
phase IV. Thanks again all for your answers.
