Is there any published performance analysis of the DEMFA, XMI- FDDI adaptor ? I
have a customer who will be attaching 4 VAX 6000 class machines to a FDDI ring
via a DECconcentrator 500. There are 2 6620s, 1 6610 and 1 6430 running VAX/VMS
in a cluster. There was a concern expressed by the parent company of this
customer that the DEMFA adapter was too slow to take advantage of ther 100 MBPS
ring speed. I found an article in the Summer 1991 issue of Digital Technical
Journal, Vol 3 # 3. which states that the adaptor can indeed transmit and
recieve at the full 100 MBPS. Is there any more recent article/whitepaper etc.
that addresses DEMFA performance that I could share with the customer ?
