Customer is using SDA> show lan/full/device=fx to monitor his FDDI interfaces. Values returned are not within values documented in the DEMFA-ip book. The customer would like complete documentation on all fields. Where would I find this?? Brian

There is no documentation that describes every field of that display. The best document available is the SDA manual for OpenVMS VAX 6.0. | |||||

The OpenVMS SDA manual just gives the command formats and the expexted output format. This customer is looking at PHY STATE... the books he has say this value should be between 0-7. He is getting 32 and 128 on different nodes. If the documentation he has is wrong then where is the correct range specified. Him wanting every field of the display comes from his lack of trust in the documentation. |
