969.0. "Incompatibility with firmaware ?" by LEMAN::BRUNNER () Wed May 26 1993 08:01

    Hi all,

    Anybody heard about DEFCN running V 3.1 ok, but when reloaded with
    V 3.2.1 all LEDs steady red on NMC module ?

    Serial number of the faulty modules are:
    KL03016867 and KL12173796

    Customer told that the faulty modules have a PAL CE22V10H marked DEC90,
    but other modules have a PAL marked DEC91.

    Any incompatible modules with new firmware ?

    Best regards
    Walter

969.1the position of swich 1 OK?TKTVFS::IDONaoki Ido, CSC/TOKYO, EWB, DTN 680-2456Sun May 30 1993 22:076
I believe the V3.2 should work OK. There is one thing I recall about
remaining red LED on the board. You should be SW1 to ON position when you
load the microcode with ndu. The switch makes DEFCN reset to default during
it's rebooted.

969.2Not NMC module but Port CardLEMAN::BRUNNERTue Jun 08 1993 09:3010
    Hi all gurus,

    Customer completed his information and saying now that PORT Cards have
    all LEDs red after the upgrade to V3.2. Serial numbers and Chip
    references are right. All switch position combinations have been tried
    by customer no one successful.

    Any infos ?
