    Note #538 in this notesfile speaks about a problem with DEFCN s/w
    V3.1 not indicating back-up status correctly on a port.
    The manual says the port A LED should blink Red/Green when a
    port is in standby mode, but from V3.1 it blinks Red only.
    
    I have a customer here i Sweden that experiences that problem.
    It is purely `cosmetical', but the customer wants it to work
    as the manual tells. (Maybe its cheaper to change the manual?!).
    
    Does anyone know if there is any fix for that problem coming (maybe
    in V3.2)?

	One of my Customer has the same problem on two of his three DEFCN. Most of the time they are blinking red - off. For a short time they blink in the right way red - green. Configuration of the Fddi ring 3 * DEFCN Software Version V3.3 Rom Version 2* v1.0 / 1* v0.0 The problem is seen only on the DEFCN with Rom Version V1.0 Is there a Solution anywhere ? regards Wolfgang

	Someone is/will be working this problem, it's possiblly related to particular backplane rev. I'll post a note here when it's resolved. wayne

	one of our customers has the same problem, with FW 3.1 and 3.2.1, and ROM 1.0. When can we expect a solution? greg.
