Let me introduce myself as Air Vice Marshal (Retd) P. Govindarajan working as consultant with NIS at DEIL. I have the following querries :_ a) Some reference sites in the industrial or manufacturing environment wherein DEC have implemented FDDI. b) Does Easynet cover any installation where FDDI is present ? c) Is it possible to connect a heavy duty printer directly to the FDDI with a controller card ? Of course, this has to be checked from the specific printer manufacturer. What I want to know is whether it is technically possible for a printer like device to act as SAS or DAS with a proper controller card ? Shall be obliged for an early reply. Thanks and regards. Govindarajan.

Govindarajan, Off the top of my head, I know we have implemented an FDDI ring at a General Motors manufacturing plant in Canada. Please contact me if you have any other questions regarding FDDI as I support FDDI for GIA networks sales support. Best regards, Debbie |
