Hi Gurus, Why changing Frame Strip Mode between 3.1 and 3.2.0 FT on DEFCN ? It went from SA Match to Frame Content Independent under V3.2.0 FT Any reasons ? Walter

If you have a new MAC chip, you need to send out VOID frames to measure ring latency (new feature of this chip). To support this feature we changed to FCI strip mode. Since the DEFCN doesn't send out many frames, it doesn't add a lot of VOID frames to the ring by doing this. Luc |
