Hi!
In India we are bidding for a large educational client for a
campus-wide FDDI network. In that regard, the prospect wanted
some theoretical performance figures. Any sort of help in this
regard will be highly appreciated. It goes without saying that
this is required very urgently.
The products quoted are :
- dec bridge 610
- dec bridge 620
- Gigaswitch
- dec concentrator 500
- decnis 600
For each of the above quoted products, the client needs to know the
following:
- bridging, routing protocols supported (802.1d, ospf etc)
- packet filtering rate (for packet sizes of 64,512,1kb,2k,3k,4k)
- packet forwarding rate (@ packet size of 64b,512b,1k,2k,3k,4k)
Looking forward to any/all sots of info for points.

You should be able to find all of this information in the Networks
Buyers Guide. Or if you have the data sheets for the products, they
will have them too.
If you don't have access to this info, let me know as I support FDDI
(and other network stuff) for GIA.
