I currently have a defza-aa firmware rev 1.1 which fails selftest on my Decstation 5000/200 with a dma error. I believe that the firmware level of the defza may be the cause, I installed NDU ver 2.0 and now urgently require the defza120.sys file (or higher). If you could point me to a copy of the file on the network I would be obliged. Many thanks. John

808.2 | What is difference from DEFZA code 1.1 to 1.2 | CERN::BOTHNER | Tor Bothner (CERN account consultant) | Mon Jan 04 1993 11:02 | 12 |
Hi, Can someone please explain to me what has changed from 1.1 to 1.2? My client has a number of DECstations running DEFZAs, many of them with 1.1. Is there any reason to upgrade? (bugfixes? performance?) One of the machines is running as a dedicated IP router between two FDDI rings, where obviously peformance is an important issue. thanks for any info, --tor

There is a major bug in 1.1 having to do with multicast addresses. If you run any protocol other than TCP/IP, you need to upgrade to V1.2.
