What is the FDDI connector key type on the DECconcentrator 500 DEFCN? The customer says there are "M", "S" and "D" type keys? Thanks, Dale

On DEFCN-M*, there is an A port and a B port. All other DEFCN modules have four to six M ports. The keys shipped with multimode FDDI cables are labeled A, B, and M. A connector without a key is type S, and will work with all four port types. Installing the keys will prevent incorrect cable connections, however, key installation certainly isn't mandatory. There is no D type key in FDDI. | |||||
