| | None of the host adapters support RBMS queries. Though of course, with the
appropriate logicals, you be initate queries over the FDDI adapter.

I thought I understood you when I first read your reply, but now I
    am not sure.

My first interpretation was that I could not use products like ELMS and
DECmcc ELM am if the system used a DEMFA as its Network interconnect.

Now I believe you are telling me that I can use ELMS, but I can not
quiry/manage the controller remotely with RBMS protocol.

    Which is correct?

    Regards,
    Mike

| | The MCC EA routines do not offically support FDDI controllers.
However, if you use the MCC via port qualifier e.g.

mcc>show bridge xxx all char, via port=fxxx

    then it might work.

Chris Brienen (CHRISB::BRIENEN) can give you more information on this.

| | Re .2: your second point is certainly correct (RBMS cannot query a DEMFA).
As for the former -- access to a network via DEMFA, an FDDI is a LAN just
like all others, and it should work.
