Hello I am currently working on the delivery of a campus FDDI network in Greece and I have two problems to solve: 1. We use DEC concentrator 500 with DEFCN-LA cards. Are these cards ANSI compatible? Are we going to have interoperability problems with other vendors FDDI communication equipement? 2.I want to test and troubleshoot the network down to the fiber. I believe I need a data & protocol analyzer, I already know Sniffer from Network General. Are there other products-except HP's- that can help me in this job? do we have a DEC product for these purpose (a DECmcc module propably)? Any help will be valuable. Thanks in advance Dennis

1. Yes, they're ANSI-compatible.
2. Some development groups have purchased Tekelec's ChameLAN. The
Digital Services organization has standardized on Wandel & Goltermann's
DA-30.
