Peter, Can you elaborate? Are you asking whether our FDDI products respond to FDDI SNMP MIB (RFC1285) requests? - Larry

I asked the customer what they meant by SMT 6.2 SNMP response agent. The customer confessed that they read this out of some other companies marketing literature. So it turns out that the desired functionality is SNMP access to the SMT data. We currently have SNMP support for MIB II, the draft FDDI MIB and the DEC extensions MIB, correct? Which version of SMT is the current version? Thanks

SMT 7.2 is out now but the SNMP MIB for it is not ready. SNMP RFC #1285 maps to SMT 6.2 which is what our products in the field are running now. They will update to 7.2 before the end of the year but will still use RFC #1285 for SNMP access. Luc |
