New firmware for the DECbridge 500 series product is coming. A serious problem was found with the SNMP agent that kept it from responding. All DECbridge 500 series firmware have this problem: V1.0, V1.1 and V1.2. We have provided a special image of code to the support group for distribution for emergencies. It's rev is V1.2.2. We are issuing a new release of firmware into manufacturing and the SSB. This new release will be V1.2B. This code will fix two problems: 1 - The NVRAM CRC gets corrupted if an IP address is provided via the RBMS protocol from an NMS. 2 - The SNMP agent won't respond to requests. Mike

Is this available yet? I have got the firmware/microcode (I don't understand if there is a difference here yet) from NET VOID, and it seems to be ancient and 1.2 rather than 1.2B It would be really neat to be able to get hold of this stuff. thanks, Mike, Sydney customer support centre |
