Hello,
one of our customers plans a new cable infrastructure for data cable
they wnat to use UTP cable as they are described in 10 Base T. Will
Digital offer FDDI components which will support this type of cable?
What is the actuel status of the TP-PMD development for FDDI? Will it
be possible to have FDDI over the UTP cable? What is Digital's official
position? I know that we've recommended a STP-FDDI spec as described in
note 731.
Thanks for any input

re: .0
Digital is very much interested in an ANSI standard for FDDI over
shielded and unshielded twisted pair. In fact, one of our employees
Bill (LEVERS::B_CRONIN) heads the committee. He's been pretty good
about posting updates of the committee's work to this Notes conference.
The last such entry is note 688.
