Interested in a DEMFA driver?
738.3Does France have one for sale ?BONNET::LISSDANIELSThu Oct 08 1992 04:5710
    Bernard,

    can you please expand your note on an ULTRIX DEMFA driver ?

    Did France actually take on the code for the ULTRIX driver ?

    I know there were plans to take over some code and support locally
    as a consultant project.

Matt, (detective work pays off - see below)

Case of mistaken identity... (did not note the node)
Bernard Thomas is a French guy that recently has been working to sell
our FDDI into UNIX accounts... I though he had needed one and found
one for that project - I guess the "french" driver would be yours
originally. Did they go ahead ? noone told me what they did.
the plan was to sell VAX 9000 with ULTRIX...on FDDI !

However - it would do no harm if you once in a while would give your
first name away. You know we have new readers joining all the time...

SO - Who ARE you who MIGHT have a ULTRIX FDDI driver ?
Part of the inner circle of FDDI development I know from your answers,
but how would one contact you other than through mail ?
After reading at least 20 random notes from you I was still
am not sure if Thomas was your first or last name...
I was guessing on Matt Thomas, but ELF show the NAC Matt on an other node

Finally I track you down in 7.36 ! but as I said + giving a name
sometimes is not bad... you are frequently VERY short-worded.
Even when pointing to my mistake you don't give your name...

Anyway;
How could the interested parties get an ULTRIX XMI FDDI driver ?

I've been dealing with Bob Beckett (XIRTLU::) and George Nielsen
(DELNI::G_NIELSEN). I'm not quite sure how ones goes about getting
the driver. But I would start by contacting both of those mentioned
above.
